Take your wedding vows at a Naturally landscaped Jungle setting in remote Sigiriya

DAY      PROGRAM

01         AM        Arrive at Colombo airport and transfer to Colombo. Check into 5 star hotel in Colombo Taj Samudra.

            PM        Afternoon meet your representative and talk details of the wedding arrangements. Thereafter at your convenience commence a city tour of Colombo. Your tour of this colourful city will take you from its noisy bazaars to its fashionable residential area passing places where Grand Colonial era buildings stand alongside modern office structures. The diversity of religion, ethnicity and customs of the people in this city becomes very evident.  Return Colombo Plaza or Taj Samudra or similar (5 star)  for overnight accommodation.

02         AM        After breakfast leave for Sigiriya. En-route visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage - where over 70 Elephants ranging from little babies to adult are cared for. Almost all of them have been found in the jungles wounded or separated from their herd. The feeding and bath time in the river is a treat to watch. Continue to Sigiriya and check into Elephant Corridor hotel.

PM        Afternoon at leisure. Speak to your wedding co-ordinator and visit the location

for wedding arrangements etc.  Dinner and overnight stay at Elephant Corridor Hotel  or similar.

03         AM        Breakfast at the hotel. Final arrangements for the wedding could be co-ordinated with your wedding co-ordinator at the hotel.

PM        Late afternoon climb the Sigiriya Rock, the "Lion Mountain".  In 470 AD,

Kasyapa, the son of a non-royal consort of the king, took over the kingdom after committing patricide, built his magnificent palace on top of this 360 metre high rock fearing the wrath of the crown prince Moggallana. This architectural wonder is famous for its well-preserved rock painting of the beautiful "Cloud Damsels" seen half way up the rock and the "Lion Stairway" that provides access to the summit. The complex of the fortress on the plains around the rock extends over 15 hectares.  Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight accommodation at Elephant Corridor Hotel or similar.

04         AM        Breakfast at the hotel. Typical Sri lankan Wedding ceremony with a jungle atmosphere. (AM or PM)

            PM        Special Candlelit Dinner and overnight accommodation at Elephant Corridor Hotel or similar.

05         AM        After breakfast at leisure proceed to Kandy and check in at Hunas Falls hotel (or

similar) – This hotel has one of the most spectacular settings situated higher up in a tea estate. The scenery is beautiful and ideal for romantic couples.

            PM        Rest of the day free at leisure. Dinner and overnight accommodation at Hunas Falls hotel or similar.

06         AM        Breakfast at the hotel. Full day free at leisure.

PM        Dinner and overnight accommodation at Hunas Falls hotel or similar.

07         AM        After breakfast visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Thereafter continue to

            PM        Arrive at a former Scottish Planters Bungalow.  Free at leisure. Dinner and

overnight accommodation at Devon (5 bed roomed bungalow in close proximity to the picturesque Devon falls and the majestic St Clairs falls with beautiful landcapes) / St Andrews Bungalow (A Colonial style bungalow with 6 bed rooms situated amidst the lush green tea plantations) 

(Note) The bungalow will be available only for your use and a caretaker, helper and cook will make you feel very comfortable and you will have total privacy.

08         AM        Breakfast at the bungalow. Full day free at leisure.

            PM        Dinner and overnight accommodation at Devon / St Andrews Bungalow.

09         AM        After breakfast leave for Katunayake (close to the airport) and check into hotel.

            PM        Free at leisure. Dinner and overnight accommodation at the Airport Garden hotel or similar.

10         AM        After breakfast transfer to airport for departure flight to Maldives.

            PM        Afternoon visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. In the evening visit the Dalada Maligawa (temple of the tooth) and proceed to an auditorium to witness a typical Kandyan dance troupe perform. Return to Hunas Falls hotel or similar for dinner and overnight stay.

04         AM        After breakfast Proceed to Nuwara eliya (hill station). En-route visit a Tea Factory and plantation. Check into hotel.

            PM        Rest of day at leisure – co-ordinate wedding arrangement, visit the wedding

location etc. Dinner and overnight accommodation at Grand Hotel or similar.

05         AM        Breakfast at the hotel. Wedding ceremony at the Hakgala Botanical gardens.

            PM        Return to Grand Hotel for a special candlelit dinner and overnight stay.

(Note) If for some reason the authorities of the Gardens object due to earlier commitments or otherwise, we will propose another scenic location such as a garden ceremony at the Grand Hotel etc.

06         AM        After breakfast leave for Katunayake (close to airport) and check into hotel.

07         AM        After breakfast transfer to airport for departure flight to Maldives.

LEGAL DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED –

The following is required for any of the above packages and is the normal procedure followed by all hotels.

 -           Birth certificate

-           If divorced – Legal documentation (divorce certificates)

-           Names of Parents of the bride and groom

-           Passports of bride and groom

-           The couple should be in the hotel at least 4 days prior to the date of the wedding.

-           If unmarried affidavit of proof.

-           If either of the couple is below 21 years consent of parents by an affidavit.

-           Photocopies of all important documents should be mailed to us 2 weeks prior to arrival in Sri lanka.
